Stephan Venter

 Raised in Rustenburg he is a highly skilled makeup artist,

 performer, and television personality from South Africa.

Who had a diverse career in the

entertainment industry.

He started his artistic journey in 1991
when he studied fine arts at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa. 

Later, he pursued his passion for music and drama at CAM in Pretoria, where he completed his
training in classical vocals with singer and songwriter Lisbe Visser, acting, and stage makeup with actor Johan Schotlz from the television series Egoli.

Between 1996 and 1998, Stephan showcased his acting and music skills by performing different characters in a stage and video production called “The Bride” with Marie du Toit and musician    Johan Kekber.

He also performed his first cabaret show
“Vlerk ‘n Metamorfose” during this time,
which received an overwhelming
response from the audience. 

Stephan
combined his shows with sold-out art
exhibitions, and his agent at the time
exhibited his paintings in London.

 

In 2000, Stephan became the lead
vocalist in a band called Silex and signed
a record deal with Alter Ego Records.


The band’s debut album, “Legendary
Beauty,” was released, and Stephan
made his first television appearance as a
guest on a breakfast show called
“The Toasty Show” on e.tv, where he
performed the popular ballad ‘shr’
from the album.


In 2014, a restored 4-track e.p was
released on Spotify, and Stephan
performed at the Barnyard Theater in
Pretoria as part of a production called
“Hey Now Hey Now Now.”

Stephan has also made his mark in the
world of fashion by working as a ramp
model at Smirnoff fashion week in
Johannesburg in 1996-1997.

 

In 2020, he played the character of an
extravagant fashion guru in a new
Casper De Vries series called “Cas
Oppie Kassie” currently on Showmax.

Stephan’s talent as a makeup artist has also been recognized, and he was
nominated as the best makeup artist for 2022. 

He featured in a Via.tv series called “Heidi Hollywood” in 2019 as a
makeup artist for a clothing brand by designer Peter Bondesio and Heidi Bothma.

Stephan’s success is a testament to his incredible talent and passion for the arts.

He has worked hard to establish himself as a respected and admired figure in the entertainment industry, and his work has inspired and entertained audiences around the world.

With his unique personality and incredible talent, it’s clear that
Stephan is a force to be reckoned with in the makeup and entertainment industry.

Stephan is currently traveling across
the country as a freelance makeup
artist, performer, and lecturer.

Additionally, he appeared in a new Momentum life insurance commercial in August 2020 as a flamboyant hairdresser with actress Mila Guy.

Stephan is a model at Blaze Models in Johannesburg,
adding to his already impressive and diverse career.
